So following dinner, troopie jan, jeans and me went for dessert near by to Laurent st Bernadat.
Verdict: 2.5/3 of us will return . I came here previously and am glad to have introduced them to this place!
The sorbet though was a “no-go” .. abit too thick. but delivered its promise in its texture and sourness
Pleasure cake was awesome 🙂 Standard still there
Lava cake was oozing with goodness 🙂
A very nice place to chillax and talk the night away… 🙂

I went to celebrate a friend’s birthday .. She chose Epicurious for a brunch celebration .. Remembering I went there to the Railmall branch to check out .. We went to the main branch instead.
The decoration theme was the same – it had that old school canteen kinda touch to it .
3 of us ordered the same thing : Eggs Benedict!
I was a little disappointed in the Mocha. It didnt come as thick as I would have liked it previously .. but
the eggs benedict made up for it! I loved the potatoes and the herbs that are roasted along together with it. Hollandaise was nicely made. The colour of it was just inviting and I couldn’t wait to dig in!!!
So glad they suggested this place! and they also liked it as much as I did! 🙂 a definite return 🙂 Just that maybe we went during peak hours, so the place was congested and crowded .. but worth the wait nonetheless 🙂
Happy 24th my november buddy!! 🙂

#01-02 The Quayside, Robertson Quay
My dad decided to spend some quality time with my sister and me.. So we went down to check out Robertson Quay for an english breakfast and we chanced upon
I think this place is just average though .. my chai latte was not heavy on the chai – I didn’t really like it, although i think its one of the better ones that I could find in Singapore .. but just not the best and I wont return for it ..
My shriveled poach eggs just didnt make my meal appetizing ..

#01-15 The Quayside
Following my brithday celebration, we went to Robertson Quay to chill and I brought them to a newly found chocolate place that my brother had been raving about (especially their pleasure cake sinfully heavenly)..
The ambience here is like a hidden spot away from the hustle and bustle from the city.. Its quite interesting to people watch here. .. as there are many bars around.. so you can see the usual couple watch – we spotted a pairs of interesting couples .. and a nice place with a nice ambience to chillax
we settled ourselves down after waiting for abit and ordered ..
this was a very interesting dessert. It was ice cream inside, coated in a chocolate coating. The hot chocolate sauce next to it was meant to be poured onto this chocolate ball, and.. you will see the chocolate ball having its own mini ‘opening ceremony’ to reveal its hidden treasures inside
Of course I didn’t come all the way here without ordering the special Pleasure cake!!!
its quite a skill to cut through the layers without having layers of your cake breaking into different sizes and pieces. I loved the crunchy base and the layering of the chocolate, being held together with the hazelnut mousse was gave it an elegant touch.
of course, not forgetting to order this special that took quite long to come (the best things in life is worth waiting for eh?) we were not disappointed.. but the friend that ordered this complained that it was abit too bitter for her taste – bitter in that it had too much cocoa powder..
I would return for my pleasure cake indulgence and chillax over a nice cup of tea while reading a good book.
