Verdict: 2/2 of us will return
Food is reasonably priced and taste wise is pretty good. Feels very no frills and simple home cooked French food.
Everything executed well.

Verdict:2/2 of us will return! Well the mushroom risotto was a disappointment for me… I wished they had more mushroom stock inside it! It was too buttery for my liking… The crabmeat linguine was nicer though:) nicely balanced between tomato and cream sauce 🙂 the sauce for the calamari was also nice 🙂

Plain vanilla – revisited

I returned to plain vanilla bakery and fulfil my hazelnut cupcake craving.. Decided to buy back home some for he mentai monster since he mentioned he wanted a red velvet cupcake 🙂

Verdict: 1.5/2 of us will return. Mentai monster commented on the cream cheese on the cupcake – he liked it but thought the rest of the flavours were ok. He hated the cinnamon. I also didn’t really like it. I liked my hazelnut. Chocolate chip was too sweet for my liking. Salted caramel was awesome 🙂 but chocolate banana was disappointing.

Yoshimaru Ramen

So my sis and I made our profits for the day and decided to go check out this place at Holland V that newly opened a ramen bar .

Ramen and my family are like always agreeable. This particular one was Hakata style Ramen – meaning that the noodles were very thin, and they were mainly pork broth style of ramen

my sister ordered:

Char Siew Ramen

I ordered the same, but with an additional topping of seaweed

Seaweed Char Siew Ramen

accompanying it, they gave us sesame seeds to grate and add into our ramen

Sesame seeds

Apart from this motar and pastel to be quite seemingly authentic in Japanese cuisine, we agreed and felt that the overall broth of the ramen was too strong .. it had that porky lingering after taste (which i personally do not enjoy) .. the Eggs were not done very nicely either …
Don’t think I will return here for the ramen .. But maybe the buns? they look so cute ..
