KL Highlights

Another highlight was : stepping into the KL Chinatown, Jalan Petaling. We found all these :

Credits should go to this old lady who makes such yummy rich thick milo!!! on a blistering hot day like such, one takeway packet saved our day! look at the way she pours out the milo! i hadn’t had known of such thick ones (other than if i made it myself)

then we walked on and found

Cheong Kee Noodles

Lao Shu fun or also known as mee tai mak

Prawn noodles

Dry Noodles - gan lo mee

And of course, I chased after this uncle on wheels for his mee chiam kueh. I can’t explain but his mee chiam kueh has one of the best fillings, and skin wise it is miraculously crispy! even when its kind of cold, its still crispy!!!

Then of course, to buy back souveniers,

traditional bakery

all packed and ready to go home

one of the most memorable eating trips ever 🙂

KL highlights

We decided to go and try the KL style of Bah Kuet Teh. I think I am too used to the Singapore style kind, that I didn’t really like the herbal based kind … it didn’t stay well with me ;p My friends liked it though.

I am a fan of innards(selective) but this stall’s one just didn’t seem to wash it properly.. there was that siapish taste ..

KL highlights

My friends and I went to KL over the weekend on those cheap Jetstar flights, and I would like to say, its been really great travelling with them! they have been such a sport! we also found new places!

I think one of the highlights of this KL trip would definitely have to be this new hunt that we found from the mouth of the cab driver that kindly took us back to the hotel from Genting. On the way he stopped by a hunt out to satisfy both my other friends’ cravings.

So we stopped on the way back for durians

Durian Stop

Mao Shan Wang

Both said its super sedup yummy 🙂

Then he dropped us off at Jalan Alor[Jalan Alor – this is like a ‘newton’ equivalent of KL. ] for what he recommended! We all super loved it and thought it was one of the best things that happened to us

Seafood Horfun

Malaysian Hokkien mee. Chicken Wings, Sambal Kang Kong, Sting Ray Balachan, Salted Pepper Squid

and of course, What we came here for :

Sambal LA LA

Wong Ah Wah
The place is at the end of Jalan Alor, off Bukit Bintang.

As we were walking through Jalan Alor, there was a roadside stall selling all the different kinds of sticks of food. Immediately my sharped eye-ed friend aimed for the century eggs .. Boy was she happy with what she got!

Store on Wheels

array of sauces

Pi dan

we all were happy and happier for her that she found her pidan lok lok 🙂
