So we woke up in excitement and looked forward to breakfast.
It was quite an experience to sleep on tatami mats and sleep on the floor as well!
to some extent I felt like we were in camp – aka communal bath rooms, communal food, eat and bathe all at the same time within a time frame ..
except we had people to clean up after us, and set out our beds for us 🙂

then we proceeded to lunch. From a list of places I found, we could only go to a selected few because most of them close at 2 for a lunch break .. we headed down to Mingei Chaya Ajikura we tried their speciality local chicken tempura .. but .. I don’t think we really enjoyed it. The meat was tough and hard to bite into

local delicacy - tempura chicken - except the chicken was super tough

chicken karage with the nice rice

Kani Croquette - best out of the rest
