Verdict: 7/7 of us will return
1. Beef was really different from the other types of korean restaurants around. The cut was good and the quality, you can just taste the difference = we were all happy to pay this premium, we ordered two rounds. Both the seasoned and non seasoned beef was good. We had seconds
2. Spicy Chicken was really really spicy ( if your spiciness level goes below …. if you think drinking kim chi stew is the limit for you, do not try this)
3. Egg was good, slightly different texture than a normal chawanmushi, but nonetheless, fluffy, light and has quite a heavy chicken stock taste
5. Pork was good, we ordered two rounds in all. good balance of fats and meat for the pork

*do reserve in advance if possible, because the queue seems to be forever long.

Verdict: 5/5 of us will return.
I had the chocolate chai .. I must say it is very uniquely nice for all those who likes chai tea latte and wants to take the sweetness a notch higher, this is highly recommended. After a few glasses however, it just was too much for me .. Better this be shared šŸ™‚

The fondue was good, chocolate was solid, not those diluted mixed up chocolate or cheapo melted chocolate.

Crepe was also good -> snapped up very fast

For all who needs a quick chocolate fix, try this place! in Melbourne I remember eating the waffles! super awesome there! but I am not too sure about here .. have yet to try! perhaps on the next trip back!

So the steps to it is that, you first cook the meat on the protruding side, then you go on to pour chicken stock (in a teapot) into the pot until it reaches a certain level. In doing so, the juices of the meat will flow into the broth and after a while, your broth will be very sweet and nice. In the soup, throw in the vegetables to cook, as well as fish cakes etc etc ..
Apart from the smell (my bag was smelly for 3 days – no exaggeration), Ā It was pretty good and value for money. Quality of the meat and ingredients were not the cheap kind that disintegrates the moment you pick up using your chopsticks or not like you see in most steamboat restaurants. Nice for a change.

Eggs Benedict was quite ok Ā .. sauce was too sharp
BLT was quite average

All the cakes were very nice, but I think consensually we thought theĀ Chocolate Macadamia Ā was slightly flat…
The lemon sponge was very solid but yet not too heavy. My friend who ordered this is not a very sweet tooth, but she finished the whole cake. ( a very good yardstick to measure against).

Verdict: 3/3 of us will return!
Apart from the noisy environment where even though we were sitting next to each other, we couldn’t hear ourselves, I really thought the food was pretty up to expectations.
Appetizers were very different from the usual kinds, and the combinations complimented each other very well.
Mains were all executed well.
To me, Ā a good steak is defined as it can be eaten without any sauce. And this cut of the meat, where it is quite lean and little fats to keep the steak juicy, it does require quite a fair bit of skill to keep it at a medium rare consistency.
The pork was also good in that it is moist and the accompaniments complimented well.
TheĀ crab tortellini was also just nice (although I thought it did looked abit little) in terms of portion size and scallops cooked to perfection.

wanted to stay on for dessert but .. looking at what the other tables had, we just went off somewhere instead.

Honestly the food was just mediocre. Coffee was average. But I guess for the price, its quite the bang for the buck. They do serve quite a bit of local fusion items as well…
We decided we would only come back if we want to chillax over a good book or just people watch/ relax and catch up .. but nope not for the food.

Apart from it being quite out of the way, the ambience here is pretty different from the usual Cafes. Located near a horse stable, you do get whiffs of horse poo, but other than that, it is very nice to chillax and catch up with friends. Very nice breeze (minus smell – depending where you sit also) at night šŸ™‚
Dessert is really awesome, especially chocolate lovers who are looking for a greedy indulgence ( it is huge! just a heads up)
Mains were also good. We could not finish not because it sucked, but just slightly too much :p
would want to come back and try the brunch!!

Verdict: 2/4 may come back I reckon.
I was really expecting some mind blowing kinda sushi … but nope Ā .. I know they were renowned for their aburi sushi .. but some how, this place just didn’t seem to go down well with the rest of the family as well.
My bro and I concluded that the whole meal was really just .. to be fair it is above average, but I think what we felt that didn’t really make our bang for the buck was probably just there was no OOOmph to the main .. in paying this premium above other sushi restaurants, didn’t seem to deliver the quality. Perhaps the context that they were rushing off for some company event so we probably visited at the wrong time? but that being said, service was fair ..
Don’t think we will be returning here any time soon.

Consistency is there .. Apart from the bad Ice mocha ( it was not thick? and tasted more like watery chocolate water) , the pancakes were just divine.
If you like your pancakes floury and thick, this would be the place to visit.
Loved the butter as well, very unique and ‘saltish sweet’ Ā ..
Would come back for a sweet salty fix šŸ™‚
