Les Amis

Thankfully in placement of our holiday, we decided to splurge it on a good christmas dinner 🙂

So thankfully to Brother , we went to try out Les Amis.

We were thoroughly impressed by their skills and precision of the french food that came! I loved every minute of it, but I do apologise my pictures doesn’t do the place  justice to the food I ate, and I can’t remember the name of it all .. But looking back at these pictures make my mouth water muchh 🙂

We were invited to have a christmas celebration with my mum’s friend family.
They kindly invited the whole family to join their family in a joint christmas celebration! since we were all not able to leave Singapore for Christmas this year 🙂

so everything was ordered according to her wishes and specially suited accordingly.. I am not sure if the dishes are ‘order-able’ off the menu .. and I do apologize that my picture taking skills does not do justice in reflecting the amazingness of the food that night.

..

Assorted sashimi. Uni, Otoro, Sea bream, sweet prawn

Prawn with eggs

beef teppanyaki style with seasonal vegetables

Fried Bean Sprouts with Saffron

Seared Sea bass in special sauce reduction

So to end off the night, we had dessert

Matcha and Goma ice cream with azuiki (red beans)

I would totally come back here! if not for this Christmas celebration, I would not have known about this place!

So we decided to try out since Brother kept on saying that we should go and try out the dim sum at st regis. See, one thing for sure, Always listen to your mother! my mum says its ok only .. but seeing how persistent my brother is in wanting to go, we all went down

I agree with mummy .. was really just -_-

Although I must say most of the dishes displayed are quite a reflection of the skill involved.. like the carrot spring rolls things .. but.. taste wise .. was just alright…

Chicken Rice has to be one of my favourite local eats. Everyone goes for the chilli that determines if the Chicken Rice is good, but strangely for me, maybe because I love my carbohydrates, to me a good plate of chicken rice is determinant in the rice.

The rice in this place is one of the best ever chicken rice that I have eaten thus far. The rice is grainy and it has very strong garlic and ginger taste – which i dearly like very much in my aromatic chicken rice. Their chicken is also not dry ( I always eat the breast part and that to me is a good test if the chicken is not over dry or over cooked – that part being the hardest part to cook)

My parents enjoy the chilli as well .. and apparently this stall is a franchise from the original stall at Whampo Hawker Center. We partonised the hawker center and while talking to the lady boss, she said this stall is also part of hers 🙂 so why not 🙂 since it was such a hot day

Super favourite place  and rice 🙂
